Switch up hard drive cable
TA-DA, works
Computer turns on, I set Windows up with key code and shit
Oh my god, this is amazing, the computer already has VLC, Steam, Microsoft Security Essentials and Chrome installed
Well, time to take a pictu- OH GOD DAMMIT ANOTHER BLUE SCREEN
Friend who works at Microsoft tells me it's a software problem, other friends tell me my hardware is conflicting because my CPU is an older version or some crap like that
Re-write everything to re-install Windows cleanly, lose all the awesome pre-set stuff
No blue screen so far.

AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor, 3.40 GHz (might upgrade), 8.00 GB Ram installed (will upgrade), Windows 7 Home Premium, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (will probably upgrade), and yeah that's about it.
Basically, dad had no idea what to get me for Christmas, asked me what I wanted, I said "computer" jokingly since my old one had been having problems, he went to the Microsoft store to get me one, they were out, he went online to Amazon to look for a gaming computer and bought the one with the highest ratings at around $700-800. The computer isn't amazing but it's still an upgrade from what I had before lol, so not going to complain!
Also, EDIT: Apparently, the computer brand is "Microtel", and I have no fucking idea who they are.
