Gaben's Own Aimbot

Hey, so I've recently started to main soldier, but I join to offclass in pubs to have fun. I just want some advice for some of the following classes, and I've also included what things I already know/do with the class.

1st offclass - Sniper. - I have a decent aim, and more than 75% of my sniper rifle kills are headshots. I can aim, however I have trouble counter sniping. That's one of the things I need to perfect before I can become a really good sniper.

2nd offclass - Scout. - I realize that I'm a low health class and am there to be a nuisance to other players. However, I find myself dying a lot, even when taking the flanks. Any tips on livability?

3rd offclass - Medic. - It's not like I overextend, but I die almost constantly. I'm usually back with teammates, but even then, I have trouble with livability. Any tips on how not to get screwed over constantly as medic, or should I blame it on my pockets?

Any tips would be kindly accepted.

Thanks,
Static

To counter snipe: wait untill the other sniper is zoomed in before you zoom in. You'll have an almost completely static target, and you can aim before you're zoomed in, while your opponent needs to aim at someone moving unpredictable.

What Archibald said for sniper, also MGE to practice.

For scout just know where health packs are and refill on a regular. Keep your distance and annoy the enemy like you're supposed to - only go in for kills when you are sure you can win.

Like mittens said for scouts: learn the places of healthpacs, try to pick on enemys with your shotgun/pistol depending on the distances. If you are sure you can make the kill and get away with it, go for it

You can blame your pockets if you are always picked off by scouts, but it all depends on what kills you the most. My worst class for killing me is demoman, you would think it would be the spy, but I have finally managed to evade most spy attacks, literally by spending 75% of the time looking behind. so what class do you think your most vulnerable to?

Oh and another thing, hardly any random pub players will think about keeping a medic safe, so coming from comp to pub you need to learn a new set of rules.

As much as people bitch and whine about it, body shotting other snipers to kill them can save you just enough time to live compared to aiming for a headshot. I do it when I have enough charge to kill another sniper who isn't fully overhealed. So far it works for me, it saves me the excess time to headshot them

Being creative and unpredictable with your sniper positions can also help deal with other snipers

As for medic like Maddo said, people in pubs people rarely protect you so you need to learn to protect yourself. I find myself having to flee a lot because Mr Dumbass I'm healing doesn't see that guy spamming rockets at me

Scout - Jump. A lot. And in random directions. Most scouts don't jump enough. Evasion is the #1 most important thing to learn for a scout. A close second is aim. At least in pubs, you're being useful even if you aren't killing anyone. Key is to get people to follow you away from the front lines. Grab the attention of power players and things that can't kill you easily. Also, as stated before make sure you steal enemy ammo and health as much as possible. Bonking is an effective way to get behind enemy lines if you cannot get behind them otherwise. Bad thing about that though is you have no pistol so anything long range is out of the question. I think the stock scattergun is best for people new to scout.

Medic - It's all about the art of the strafe. A medic needs to be moving at all times even when his heal targets are stationary. Pay attention to where you are standing. Strafing makes you harder to backstab. I personally also throw in a quick turn around every now and then to keep the spies guessing. Don't walk into sniper lines of fire unless you really have to. Before you move anywhere see where the next safest place is to stand before you move away from your cover. Also, learn to identify a lost cause. Sometimes you just need to cut and run instead of following that soldier deep into enemy territory. Last little bit of advice is to pay attention to other people's skill and weaponry. Choose wisely who to uber if you can. Most of the time heavies are not a good choice. Soldiers can be a good choice if the soldier in question is good. You can pretty much uber any demoman that has stickies and actually realizes that they can in fact use them and get results. Oh, and never use quickfix unless you're aware of the limited situations it can be effective in. (Also the QF uber is for healing lots of people not one person)

Come to Badwater LA sometime...

But yes unfortunately most pubs have players that don't even think about or seem to realize they need to keep their medic alive.

Yeah, if you got a good scout riding you and any other medics good luck getting your team to protect you in a pub.

For counter-sniping what I like to do is hop out of sight when another sniper spots me. Neither player wants to be exposed and scoped for too long, so the enemy sniper either picks a new target, pulls back, or takes a huge risk being out in the open.

Nine times out of ten you can jump back in a few seconds later and have the drop on him.

As a Scout the Sandman can save you A LOT. It might not be the best but in pubs paired with the Guillotine you can wreck most classes the would normally overpower you. You can also stun an enemy to run away from them or intimidate because most people will focus on avoiding your ball rather than killing you.

As a Medic. Blutsauger. If a someone is running after you you can spray at them and scare them off. It will also help your survivability LOADS. Also the crits for it are op as shit. Change your medi-gun based on the situation as well. Kritz or Reg Uber can help in many different situations.

I have to agree but disagree with Derpy... the sandman is great for stun and run but I don't suggest using it until you have mastered stock scout. that extra 15 HP can make a lot of difference in the world of a scout.

Guillotine is fun but once again I'd say master stock scout (pistol) before you change weapons. I did run pocket pistol + sandman for a while which gives you back the 15 hp that you lose with sandman and takes away fall damage which is very cool. Just never ever catch on fire or you're dead meat.

Well paired with the 'Annoying jumping fucker technique' and knowing health kit placement. You learn to deal with the -15 health. For me it doesn't make that much of a difference especially in maps like Harvest where the kits are closely packed.

Annoying jumpy fucker takes a lot of practice.

Really the only way to counter-snipe a Sniper that's as good or better than you is to fake him out. Scoping and then un-scoping, strafing to a new spot, scoping in, and getting him is a good way to do so. Also, staying scoped in longer increases your chance of being taken down. When you're scoped in, you have an extremely small area of vision, so you might just get shot by the enemy Sniper when he un-scopes, strafes out of view, and takes you down while you're looking for him. Oh, and bodyshotting an enemy Sniper isn't anything to get upset over, if you watch competitive games, Snipers in them bodyshot and nobody throws a fit over it, and if they do, they're either joking or a retard, because they died from it.

good ol gps. yeah I've seen that already, but the tactic hardly works for me :(

Probably just the other sniper fake scoping me. idk. Probably having a monitor that is bigger than 1280x720 pixels would be better.
