This will last waaaay too long this way...
Del Piero rates this post "Disagree"

Really? Do you just rate my posts out of spite, or really disagree with the fact it will last way too long for a spycrab match? Whatever spycrab games I've seen they were for first to 3. This one will take 15 ONLY if one player wins 3-0 points. If (and since it's a pure luck, no skills involved game it's very likely they'll go 3-2).
Let's see:
To make it quicker let's say the two contestants can spycrab simultaneously (i can't imagine how much longer it would take if they took turns). This way we only have to analyse the loser, who reaches the required amount of spycrabs first. The amount of spycrabs can be made in one game the minimum of 15 (if he loses 3-0), the time to reach this is tmin while the time the game would maximum take is tmax = tmin x 1.66 (since there will be 2 the other person loses and it will take an extra 2/3 of the whole time added to the game).
To determine tmin we need to find out how much time it takes in average to spycrab once. From googleing I found the opinion of an average 1/10 chance of spycrabbing while taunting on multiple sites. This isn't official but I think I put enough effort in this post already so I won't to get a test result myself. 1 cigarette flick taunt takes 4.8-5 seconds and there will be idle time between taunts by not pressing the button "G" as quick, while waiting for the other to finish or when waiting for the referee to update the score for example, so let's say I'll be generous and make it 6 seconds per taunt. From the average 1/10 chance it follows that we need an average of 10 taunts to get a spycrab. 10 times 6 seconds equals 1 minute to get one spycrab, that makes tmin = 15 x 1 minute = 15 minutes a 3-0 game will take in average, tmax = 15 x 1.66 = 25 minutes a 3-2 game will take in average.

Next time think before/instead of using the rate system to avoid embarrassment.

We are not idiots, we know how long these spycrabs are probably going to take, and they are supposed to last long. Most people like (enjoy, have fun etc) spycrabbing so most of them wouldn't mind. I appreciate the "somewhat" constructive post, but I'm going to be frank with you, if you don't like it, don't do it.

You agreed that it'll last long, but it was supposed to last long, as you told me yesterday and I have no problem with your response. If people like to spend 20 minutes pressing G they're welcome.
This post was a response to Del Piero, who - unlike you - disagreed with it lasting long, so saying "we know" when it is clearly not the case sounds unfair. Although there's always a possibility that he knew I was right but simply chose to troll my post as usual.

fixed, I can't speak for Piero.

Why is that?

Well, for one it can create problems within the community due to disputes, accusations of cheating, etc. But there's also a myriad of legal issues that go along with any activity that can be construed as gambling. I think it would be best for the upper echelons to consider these things before supporting a publicized contest around such an activity.

Guys discuss your topic about gambling elsewhere. Dead Herald is known to derail threads so please don't feed him.
This thread is for the tournament sign up.

This is not a derailment, it's a legitimately related concern. Stop dressing it up so it looks bad just so you can have your way.
