I like Daido Moriyama, I went to college in a very rural place and i missed the city by the time I took my art class. Looking at his stuff made me feel at home again.

haven't seen this attention to detail before. the depth in the eyes is astounding.
I think I have seen some of the images before (maybe in nat geographic) as photos, i think he has based his drawing on actual photos, but cant be too sure.

Meet Chuck Close. This is hand drawn with acrylics, however this is reproduced from a image he took of himself (I bet the other ones are based on pictures also)
The original drawing is on 107.5"x83.5"x2" canvas.

That's amazing. Always though pencil drawings were the best. More detail with pure skillful drawing, rather than mixing a few colors around instead.
