The ads are crashing my game...

When an ad in Tf2 loads up my game freezes and I get that message, followed by Tf2 crashing.
Ideas?..

Try turning off motd in advanced options?

This doesn't have anything to do with ads. People on google are getting that error when they connect and it is just a coincidence that the ads load on startup.

If everyone turns off ads we cannot pay for the servers.
