TF2 Won't Load :(

Every time I launch TF2, as the game loads, when it should make that low rumbling noise and the valve logo shows up, instead I get an oversized optimum resolution notice and the screen just goes blank, so I have to open taskmaster to close it. Any ideas what's causing it?

This might take a bit and probably wont be the only answer to the problem. But you could just uninstall and reinstall the game. I had to do that for my TF2 to fix my fps issue and it helped greatly, but I also deleted my tf folder

I'm going to go with Sitch/Glue. Whenever TF2 was giving me a headache for any reason (for example, when I get HL2.exe has stopped working literally every five minutes, or something else just goes wrong), I just completely uninstall and then reinstall the game again and everything works perfectly.
