I've seen this on a jump server I used to go too and it's honestly one of the most annoying things in the game. At the most maybe a link to a Skial IRC chat that pops up like the other chat announcements or something but IRC chat floods up way too fast.

We have 3-4 lines of chat from all our servers every second.

http://stats.skial.com/#summary/chat/All/

If we piped this into every server, no one would be able to chat.
What about individual channels for each server? Of course it would be flooded if they all shared the same channel. You could also possibly only add the feature to non quick-play servers (trade, death run, idle, etc) .
Edit:
This plugin would be particularly useful to anyone who uses the trading servers. Being able to trade without being in-game is a great convenience in itself. Now that steam has introduced trading on it's mobile app, the plugin shines even more for mobile IRC users.

If you want your trade spam to reach all our trade servers at once, that's what our forums are for.

Threads from our forums already get displayed on all our trade servers as well as our custom servers.

Can you imagine how much spam there would be even if trade servers had their own channel?

Adding it only for the trade server is only one idea, the other servers should still be considered.
What exactly do you mean when you say it will be spammy? The users in the server will spam the channel? Or the users in the channel will spam the players on the server? Both scenarios can easily be dealt with.
Just as an example, ##hardware on freenode.net usually has over 700 users in the channel at any given time, and it's more than manageable. It really isn't spammy at all, and there are many anti-flood measures you could use to stop anything that does become spammy by giving +q to any client that sends <x> amount of messages in <y> seconds. Why not give it a chance and see how it plays out? (dis could be really gud)

You're just pushing for this because you're permanently silenced aren't you?

Even if it were to be implemented using it to talk to the server when you're silenced could be considered a form of silence evasion.

And that's if Bottiger wouldn't put in some sort of system that checks for silences before allowing you to use it in the first place.

I'm actually permabanned from all skial servers, but I don't see why that matters. You could easily script the bot to carry over all the information from sourcebans. There is also not point in declining my suggestions simply because I've banned, there's always a way to get around bans whether it be in tf2 or on IRC.

Why do you care to make suggestions here when you can no longer play on the servers then?
