TF2 Crashing Very Frequently

Ever since I had to redownload my steam and Tf2, my Tf2 crashes after seconds of joining a server, I changed my direct x to 8 the game was working fine for about 10 minutes then it crashed. I restarted the game tried going into another server and it crashed seconds after joining. I dont know what it is, and I would very much like to figure it out, any suggestions would be helpful
 
No idea what's going on but I'm having the exact same problem. Sometimes I get to squeeze out a few round but it always crashes at one point. My guess it's update related.
 
Yeah neither have I problems with tf2, except from regular 3-4 seconds freeze screen sometimes on skial servers...
 
Hmmm... The New TF2 update breaking the game...? RARE!

It's every server you go on its not the Skial servers, my friend crashed on the Valve servers every time the round ended. I so-far haven't seen this crash.

Bout four times now.
 
The last 3 times this happened, (3 updates) it was related to multicore processing issues for me.
I just needed to go into to my settings and disabled them even though they they were already disabled.
Every time i restarted TF2 i had to do this as the settings stopped being saved or being handled properly.
If you want to do research on when this bug first popped up, its like November 2011. (maybe even earlier, its been around a long time)
 
Still not working, I really want to play TF2, but it seems its impossible at the moment. I guess I'm just gonna have to wait
 
Well all the maps what ruelel said have them little orange box texture things so i'm guessing if you join a server with just them you won't crash.
