Why should you be unbanned?
As soon as I joined one of the TF2 servers, right after the loading screen finished, I got banned. I checked the list and apparently I got banned 6 years ago and the reason was "LINKED: New STEAMID from banned IP 98.227.106.56" but that ban says unbanned. The reason now for this second ban says "LINKED: New IP from banned STEAMID". I'll be honest, I don't remember getting banned the first time and I have no idea why the reason for the ban is that because that isn't even my IP address. Even if I don't get unbanned, could I get some clarification. I'm so confused by this.

When you are banned and connect from a new IP, we unban the old one and ban the new one so that the next person that gets assigned the old IP isn't screwed over. You were banned for connecting from the same IP as a cheater on a throwaway account. Since we can't know who is in control of an account, we must assume all accounts coming from that connection are in control of the cheater, and subsequently ban them.

Oh my gosh. I remember now LOL. I made a throwaway account when I was 14 and downloaded LMAOBox because I wanted to see how long it would take for the account to get VAC Banned. How stupid of me. Well, if that's the way it is, now I know. Thanks for the information. I appreciate it.

Hopefully you learned a lesson from when you were younger. We wish you the best of luck on other servers.
