Why should you be unbanned?
I'm not sure what this ban is about.

The reason given is

LINKED: New STEAMID from banned IP

I haven't been on Steam or TF2 for about 4 years. I've never received a ban or have an alternate account. Tried to enter a skial server on a whim and was given this ban message.

Having moved across the state in the last year, and getting a new internet provider, whatever my IP is now is different than what it was the last time I played TF2 or joined a server. So I am guessing that this is somehow a mistake?

Is there any more information we have to go off of to figure out what's going on here?

I see other appeals for the same ban being caused by VPN use. That makes sense, and is my guess for what happened here.

Yes, it is related to VPN use.

[U:1:73391372] is unbanned but not the VPN's IP. Make sure you use your regular connection
