Why should you be unbanned?
I brought my laptop into school with me today and I attempted to hop on surf with some of my friends. I was immediately banned for connecting through an IP with a previous ban history.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks so much.

Schools have strict firewall rules and proxies that block most ports and disallow services like steam. Nice try though.

Steam isn't blocked here.

To clarify, it was on the guest network, not the student network. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to connect to it on a network that anyone can join.

I've looked into this.

Something for you and any onlookers to remember. The internet you use matters. You could be at home, be aware who is using your internet. You could be at a campus, which has 100000000 people connecting to it. At least one of them is likely to have messed up at some point.

I will remove this ban on this occasion after confirming your story. This won't be removed again, so be more careful and check what network you're playing on and whether it's public.

Thanks mate. Absolutely will do. I didn't even think about it when I joined and was banned immediately after haha. Have a good one
