Why should you be unbanned?
Hello,
I was banned a couple months ago and just discovered that there was an option to appeal said ban.
I am a fairly casual player. I get on these servers to goof off every now and then and to be friendly to others. One day after trying to log onto a 2fort server, I was instantly kicked off with a message popping up telling me that I was banned. I don't play on Skial servers very often so this was very strange for me to see as I knew that I hadn't done anything wrong to be issued a ban.
Upon further investigation on the sourcebans website, I saw that there was again no reason listed as to why i was banned in the first place, at least for the first couple of articles. However today when I tried to log on again and a new article popped up, it stated that my IP was linked to an already banned account. I am currently enlisted in the army and live in a shared barracks building amongst others who share the same wifi. Perhaps somebody else in the building did something wrong and I suffered the consequences for it due to the fact that we share the same connection? I play on a gaming laptop and travel a lot too so that could have been the case as well. I could have just been in close proximity to somebody who had a ban and it got lumped in with my account, but yet, that still doesn't explain the previous bans, because as I stated before: there is no reason present.
Overall, I believe that my account getting banned from Skial servers was not only unjustified, but also unfair to a player who realistically only plays on these servers to goof off with my brother. We enjoy playing TF2 together. Please consider my reasoning, and if my appeal gets denied, I would at least like an explanation as to what it was that I did wrong so I could correct myself in the future.
