Why should you be unbanned?
Hi there, I moved in to a dormitory at my new school and today I decided to download TF2 and play with some friends, only to my shock and horror when I attempted to join and it said I have been banned. This was really strange as i have never used any cheats or even used curse words in TF2 before. on further investigation I discovered I had an IP ban thats now linked to my SteamID. any help would be great as i really want to play with my friends again.

Someone in your dorms cheated with the IP address you were given before therefore the system automatically banned your account

Can you un private your game details on steam?
 
Well I doubt it was you who cheated but even if I unban your account you would just get banned again eventually when connecting from dorm network

There really isn't a solution for this, playing in public network is like this sometimes one person can ruin it for everyone
