Invalid TF2 Appeal: G2CoBra

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.
You already know what happened, and that there's no point in making this appeal, so this is only for the public record.

People were discussing a former admin, and somebody asked if they were trans. Cobra said "oh they're a tranny?", repeated that word multiple times, and when people told him he can't, he said "what else am I supposed to call them?"

Then voot decided to join in:

I'm not responsible for anything voot wrote in chat. I did not keep repeating it. Someone said the admin who muted someone was a trans and I just asked to clarify because I didn't think I heard it right. You know exactly what happened. You keep abusing admin and you didn't mute the person who said it, only me and voot because I said poomba likes fat girls and he was flirting with you. Be honest for once. You're killing the server. Last time you were on there playing music with your buddy but you muted someone who played a 3 second clip. Anyways. Get a life.

I'm only gonna reply to this because it has now become so absurd that it has crossed from annoyance into amusement. Which is it: am I racist, "play music", both, neither? I guess we'll never know... 😂

Whomever asked if that person is trans didn't do anything wrong. You (and voot) were the only people calling them a "tranny", more than once in your case.

And this part is again for the public record: Yesterday was the first day that our new bans and mutes panel was launched, completely replacing SourceBans. There were bugs that were only discovered once we tried muting people and found out that it didn't work, and Bottiger then spent hours fixing and testing it. Secondly, whenever we are muting somebody on the spot in-game, we always initially give a mute of 1 day because it would be impossible to expect admins to know in their head what the actual length should be, since it changes depending on their punishment history. Later we look into it and extend it as appropriate, as Percilius said. I try to do it fairly quickly but there's no expectation that it should be done immediately or anything. And combined with us still fixing bugs on the new system last night, this time I didn't edit it until we were sure that everything was functioning correctly.

I didn't tell the damn story about the trans admin... I asked for clarification, you didn't mute the person who was talking about the trans admin only me. You only seen to target certain people so it looks to me as if you're racist.

Again, asking if somebody is trans? Totally fine. Calling them a "tranny" more than once, and acting like you don't even know what other word to use, even though you've somehow managed to avoid using it throughout the posts in here? Completely different thing. But you know this. 😉
