Why should you be unbanned?
The reason for banning states that I am using a new ip linked to an originally banned steam ID, which according to previous bans on source bans, has already been unbanned. As far as using a "new IP" goes, the only way I could think of me trying to use one is through vpn, which I don't use while playing. Another reason could be since I no longer live in the U.S. which is where I first started playing on skial servers. Other than that though, the ban seems unnecessary.

Hello
You have been caught hacking some months ago with the same account, cheating results in a permanent ban and won't be lifted.

How was this decided? Given that I don't use cheats, and I have not been vacbanned while I am still allowed to play on vac secure servers even now.

It was decided by Me, and another admin. I took a demo of you, and you’ve fired multiple shots that should not have connected normally, your ping did not match up with usual latency. You even tried to shoot a guy behind a van on pier despite making zero contact with the player. You are also under suspect of ping spoofing.

I gave you the ban many months ago and we reviewed the evidence twice over by now due to another player being caught up on a IP you tried to use. My verdict has not changed. Additionally, calling your hitman’s heatmaker “closet tranny” is not ok. Constantly trying to swap IP’s is also not helping your case.

My high latency comes from playing in Japan, also what is the probability that the demo isn't accounting for said high latency compensation? Also, the hitman's heat maker in question is no longer part of my inventory. Moreover when it comes to constantly changing my ip's I have no idea what's up with that, if anything, I only use a vpn for crunchyroll since it doesn't let me use it in japan, not for gaming, (idk what are the odds that the ip change is still visible after turning off my vpn) so as far as "trying" goes, this one isn't intentional.

The high latency is not the issue, and the demo copies whatever latency you had. Your ping showed up as 120-130, but the latency you demonstrated was that of more than 200. That being said, the latency was not what led to your ban. You hit shots that were considered illegitimate, the demo was reviewed by both me a US player, and an EU admin who is himself a high latency, high dpi sniper main. We reviewed multiple shots where you attempted to fire at players who you failed to ID prior to the shot, and you even shot players behind the person you were trying to shoot despite the fact you clearly were not going for them. You hit high latency shots that did not match up to your ping at the time, which showed up live when I was examining you, and in the demo upon review. I also reviewed the evidence again upon looking at this appeal and posted them for any objections and none of our staff objected. If this was a single case, you would not have been banned, but there are multiple cases in the demo and my live examinations which led to the final call.

I was not the one who marked this appeal as invalid, but it seems my peers have already come to the consensus that you are in fact cheating. I will still await your response, but my judgment still hasn't changed.

Can I take a look at the demos to see if any of these shots are explain-able?

You are free to explain yourself but as far as the verdict goes, it's already been decided.

In this clip, you attempted to ID a demo you had not previously acquired sight of. You then attempted to fire on a soldier and somehow hit the Demoman, no amount of latency can excuse this shot. The ping you had at this time was 120-175, which does not correlate with the latency required to fire such a shot.

In this clip, you attempted to fire on an airborne Demoman, your tracking during this does not correlate with the type of shot used to track on high latency. In fact, your crosshair pointed into a previous position yet the shot landed to the left of it.

In this clip, you fired on a soldier with no tracking, this is what appears to be a silent aim.

This is a red flag clip, you attempted to track the medic by following behind him blatantly, but you then fail to trigger a shot and attempt to follow up on the medic through the next door, instead of hitting the medic however you end up head-shotting the pyro. This kind of shot is considered blatant silent aim.

This is a yellow flag clip, you failed to ID the sniper prior to scoping in, and you then attempted to track the sniper which you had no clear vision of, and manage to land a kill. What also seems apparent is that you were trying to target the sniper behind the wall instead of the sniper outside of your scope blind spot, but ended up hitting the sniper you did not ID trying to hit the sniper behind.

The last clip is minor but notable. You seem to have misfired and fired off somewhere without any proper input, and nowhere near your scope at the time.

------------

Given the amount of evidence on hand, and the examinations of multiple admins. You can see why the judgment call was made. And we don't make these calls lightly. Most of our staff are very skilled players with many many many hours on the game and years of experience. I myself have played since '07. I mained sniper for a long time.

You are free to explain yourself but once again, the evidence is stacked against you. This isn't even the full demo, just notable parts from the said demo.

Are you sure this isn;'t a case of my ip being caught on a cheating player's ip? Given that both my max's head, smg, and sniper rifle are named, and the name for the player isn't anything i've ever used before. As far as explaining the clips, assuming it was me, it just looks like one of those old frag movies where it's just pure lag compensation. The scoping in of the the wall at pier towards the rifle is just plain uncharacteristic since i don't have that retarded of crosshair placement. Given that the ban was given a couple months ago, i'd have about 900+ hrs on sniper at this point, at which I'd scope in on a corner close to either of the doors instead of just in the middle and staying scoped. It sounds bs as fuck but yeah, this player isn't me. Either way, the veredict being what it is, I guess it's impossible to prove the person in the demo isn't me so, gg I guess.

Your steam ID is the exact same one as the day I recorded the demo, you are the same account that I banned, don’t try to lie your way out of it. You’re trying to tell me that the steam ID you have just so happens to be the exact same as the one the original ban is for?

If you can’t even give a proper argument that you in fact did not cheat then you are guilty.

And this is totally not you, logged in on our statistics page with the same exact name as the original person I banned. And the last name in the stats totally isn’t the one from the clips. Did you also forget you admitted to owning the offensive hitmans heatmaker? You know the same one as the person I banned had, that you said you removed. You’re telling me you’re some other guy suddenly? Yeah, definitely impossible to prove you’re not him.

I am not assuming it is you. It IS you, you were caught cheating and have no proof that you did not cheat. You have no valid counters to the accusations of cheating. Oh and if you’re gonna display on your account that you were banned, how about linking this appeal, I’m sure people would love to hear your side of the story. And don’t say I didn’t give you the chance to explain yourself.

My judgment is final. You have been caught cheating, and we have a zero tolerance policy for cheaters. The evidence is clear and you have no proof that you are innocent.

Appeal Denied.
