Invalid TF2 Appeal: brodyspencer

the jspencer20 account thats listed to go along with it was the account for me and my brother on a separate computer until my brother got it banned by using some sketchy "hacks" and got it banned
 
The jspencer20 account is you. Same Steam ID. So apparently it isn't banned if you're still using it. We caught you connecting from the same account as a cheat account back in 2015. Since steam accounts are free and we can't verify who is in control of an account we must assume all accounts from that connection are under control of the cheater. To protect our servers we must ban all related accounts. You'll have to play on other servers.
 
that account should be inactive as you said it was last used in 2015 we dont even have access to it anymore i dont think cause of a windows update bricking the hard drive on the computer it was on
 
If your computer dies it doesn't affect your account. That info is on valve's servers. It is YOUR CURRENT ACCOUNT. The reason it even showed up in the sourcebans search is because you searched your EXACT steam ID and both of those entries have that EXACT ID.
 
not sure why it has the same ID what im more confused about is my brother that caused it is playing on the 2fort server right now and would ALSO have the same ID im not pushing it any further for an unban im just a tad confused on some things
 
Then your brother is on a different account. If he was playing right now with the same Steam ID it would be your account. They're unique IDs, can't be duplicated or used simultaneously by multiple people. If you want to link your brothers profile we can look into it.
 
yes he is on a different account and so am i thats why im confused different emails different information hell both of our accounts were made on separate devices so its beyond me why i even have the same ID i honestly didn't know that was possible
 
You can check it yourself. Click on that jspencer20 entry to expand it and then click the profile link next to the Steam community ID. If it goes to the profile of your current account then you're just remembering something wrong from 8 years ago. Otherwise you linked the wrong profile to begin with.
 
Brodyspencer is my current account im just not sure why jspencer20 links to it all of the information is different im so damn confused im REALLY unsure about this because jspencer20 got vac banned cause my brother used some stupid hacks but my current account isn't this is really really strange
 
Maybe he had a throwaway account and just used the same name. Names can be the same, steam IDs cannot.
 
jspencer20 was the account we used on the family computer until it got vac-banned in 2015
why its linked to me im unsure of
 
eh it doesn't matter anyway i was only gonna play on the server for like an hour or two and then probably never touch it again
