You seem like a pretty dependable guy, plus a fellow teacher as well - so I get the stresses of the job! I appreciate the consistent report making, thank you for helping to keep the servers friendly.
+1 in my book

I'd like your opinion on this report you made. Do you think the decision to mark the report invalid was incorrect? Would you make a different ruling as a admin?

https://www.skial.com/threads/doctor-sex-discriminatory-remark-based-on-nationality.125207/

You made another report some time ago that you chose to revisit recently here.

Looking at this report that David and Meowcenary made a ruling on. Would you ban the player purely with the evidence you submitted if you were to become a admin and this same report was submitted for you to rule on?

I reported it as discrimination based on nationality, but that doesn’t actually fall under Skial’s rules, which focus more on race, religion, or gender. So to give a short answer to your question: no. And I think from the tone and way I replied to your message back then, it was more of an “oops, my bad” kind of moment (the erased one). Without becoming a crutch for my teammates (we say it like that in French! :)), I know I can always ask the more experienced ones for a second opinion when I’m unsure about something.

As for the old thread from ten years ago, I can understand the hesitation now. Back then, I posted a few demos showing things that looked strange and almost impossible to pull off from my point of view. I was hoping others players would join in and share their own clips so we could prove he was hacking. And I have to admit I didn’t have the kind of clear evidence, like in Mike’s demo where the hacker suddenly turns 90 degrees and shoots an arrow at a spy (I think it was a Spy, the video was a bit blurry for me ) out of nowhere, that we’d expect today. I’d probably make the same decision now and wait for more proof or look by myself.

I had spent hundreds (maybe) of hours playing with that player and could tell something felt off. I did my best with the tools I had at the time. After so many hours in the game, you start developing a sense for when something isn’t right. But the admins reviewing reports have to be absolutely sure before taking action, since it affects both the player’s reputation and the server’s credibility.

Like BryceM has said, you seem like a nice guy. You're fairly level-headed as well.

The only negative experience I've had with you is when you were trolling snipers on the battlements with your teleporters. Then teleporting teammates in the middle of the battlements from another spot. As a sniper main, enemies getting teleported in the middle of the battlements is an easy way to get kills as there's that initial teleported pause + any confusion said player has with where they are.

Besides that, I have no issue with you at all. It's a busy server with LOTS going on so the more admins the better imo.

I remember that clearly. I just wanted to catch the Demoman or Soldier who kept destroying my sentry by flanking them with the teleporter. If I remember right, you said it in the text chat, and I immediately destroyed the teleporter, said sorry (I think), and never did it again.

I’ve been playing on Skial for a few years now. I live in the middle of Canada and speak both English and French.

Outside of TF2, I’ve been a full-time teacher for over 15 years. That means dealing with deadlines, upset parents, helping students who need support, and working with principals and colleagues. I’m also used to supervising more than 400 students at a time during recess, managing conflicts, answering questions, and keeping the atmosphere as pleasant and safe as possible for everyone. In many ways, a school and a server aren’t that different.

To help keep Skial servers clean, I regularly submit reports, I always try to include video proof since I record most of my games. One report was rejected, which is fine, I take feedback seriously. A few of my follow-up comments in that case were unfortunately removed, but I always stay respectful and calm even when people disagree. You can’t always be right, and that’s okay.

When everyone in my house is asleep, that’s when I like to turn on my computer, open TF2, and relax for a bit. It’s my quiet time to play, chat a little, and keep the atmosphere positive. Sometimes I’ll ask open-ended questions or share fun facts to lighten the mood, not for attention, just to keep things friendly and enjoyable.

For full transparency, English is my second language, and I use AI tools to help correct my writing. I mention this only because I once saw an application get a -1 for using AI, so I prefer to be honest about it.
This guy is a good person and a fair person who would be a good admin 👍

I get a good vibe from you, and I think you being a native French speaker and a teacher by trade are both valuable attributes.

One criticism I have, though, is that you don't have a lot of experience making reports, and the experience you do have is relatively recent (September 2025, not counting the few reports from ~10 years ago) However, from what I've seen you make intelligent, impartial and productive reports, and you don't shy away from constructive criticism.

Here are a few open-ended questions for you, since I had to suffer in the same regard (looking at you @lucas4647 and @Winnie 😂)
You do not need to answer all of them or write a long essay, just want to pick your brain a little bit.

Is there anything that you'd like to change or influence if you became a staff member?
What is your favorite thing about Skial? What keeps you coming back?

Okay, I tried really hard to keep it short :) , here are my answers

Honestly, my first thought is pretty simple, just being present on the server and helping make the atmosphere as enjoyable as possible for everyone around. I’d like to be able to act a bit faster when troublemakers show up, so things stay fun and positive for everyone.

The comfort of playing a game I love from home, while connecting with people from all around the world, making new friends, and seeing the regulars who keep coming back. (Server, Discord, Forum)
