yeah it's really good, although most people dont like the later part of the first series, i'd still watch it all over
how come you don't like subs? i dont really get what's to dislike, i can understand people hating dub as voices dont fit characters and it such stereotypical voices, no one tries to sound like the character in the original, it is good for those not good at reading stuff, otherwise you're just better off with the sub
I don't know if it's just the simplicity of it, or the fact that I don't like reading all that much, because I feel it takes away from the experience if I have to read all the characters words, and try to pin them to words I can't exactly understand, or it could just be my bullshit nationalistic pride, I dunno
could be both, i can understand the focusing on the text sometimes more than the picture, but still have you hear the dubs, they sound sooo stupid, how can that be more annoying than having to read some text
I don't care much about voices, I guess I'm just more interested in the plot, anyway, I know most people don't mind Kirito's voice actor, but everyone absolutely hates Asuna's... Which I can understand.
I find almost all the voice actors for the first season were quite good. Better then most other dubbed anime like Bleach and Soul Eater.
I dislike subbed due to the fact that many times you will see characters that are quite large and burly but have the typical high pitched girly anime voice. It pretty much throws off the entire image. Not to mention, having to read the words can distract from many details of the story that you may not notice due to your eyes having to dart back and forth from the action to the words.
The dubbed versions usually have some missing dialogue or it isn't a good translation.
