Every new surf map practically has it built in with vscript now, in one shape or another.
I would recommend for the Skial surf server this implementation of bhop to be added in:
Auto-bhop: you leave the spacebar pressed = continuous bhops until space bar is unpressed. This bhop would work standing and crouched.
Bhop can be introduced to the surf server disabled by default. A chat text ad by Skial saying “Type !bhop to toggle bunnyhopping on/off. Use spacebar to bhop”. !bhop is a decently well known command in surf servers.
The !bhop setting you toggled on/off would retain on map change or server leave and remember your selection so you don’t have to re-enable it constantly.
This implementation would:
1. Allow those that want it to turn on bhop do so with the simple !bhop command
2. Those that don’t care about bhop or prefer their spacebar to not make them hop keep it off
Egan’s surf_overlook_v3c currently has this toggle-able bhop very similar in design to this done with vscript, and has good feedback on it from the community.
