I seem to be having a weird problem and was hoping someone here might be able to help

Put simply, for the past couple of days I can play TF2 for about 15 minutes normally then I start to get lag out of nowhere. The best way I can describe it is very "jagged" and persistent lag. It's not necessarily unplayable, but it certainly is enough to cause me to die at times. Restarting TF2 fixes it for a very short while then it starts back up again. I've never had this problem up until now

I don't know what's causing it and can't figure it out. I don't have any background programs open that I never had open before, restarting didn't do anything, my laptop is far from overheating according to core temp, etc.

Anyone know what could be causing it?

It only seems to be happening in TF2, all other games don't have any out of the ordinary lag for me

PC Specs? Are your video drivers up-to-date, considering you have an onboard video card.

Also, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the drivers or anything, I've been experiencing this for a little bit, while I'm on Linux, the different drivers haven't really made a difference. It could be the Internet connection.

There they are in detail

However I am using Windows 7 64bit instead of Vista

And yeah I've been keeping my drivers updated every time a new driver comes out I download it

With this computer I've been able to play TF2 on high graphics with more than playable FPS. Out of the blue it started lagging like this a couple of days ago

I'm fairly certain this isn't the type of lag caused by internet connection, at least mine isn't

From what i have experienced, valve have broken the multicore processor graphics rendering in the latest update. Turning off the multicore rendering in video options made it play a lot more consistently, constantly at 55 fps for me.
