You can literally go into your Steam settings and enable the filtering of slurs so you don't have to see them.

Why are we continuing to police the chat like the game is for children? If you choose not to use this filter which Valve added five years ago then you have no right to complain.

The imagery you mention is bannable if reported to Valve, but somehow pulling it out on one map makes it fine. Why even bother if having it one map later in your inventory will get you banned by the admin?

Never stated racism or hate speech should be allowed? Reports that consist of slurs without degrading nature have been taking a toll on skial’s playerbase overtime. I don’t participate in favoritism when Cream Tea’s suggestion is just outside the box thinking that could give potential in growing the playerbase. A good amount of players aren’t on forums to discuss, while discussion in forums is best to reflect on the principle of strategizing Skial for longevity. I don’t see anybody in here promoting Skial though. It’s got to the point to eat up drama, humiliate, and degrade others than care about welcoming new players. I don’t see it any different than hate speech. Why hate on me just for giving room of thought?

There isn’t a report on the map for so being that the map is welcomed by the community. I like the map because players and I can kick Hitler’s ass in the boss. Which raises a question: would you report a map for the imagery when 32 (and more) players take joy in it? This would be a lethal blow to DR for the sake of 1 report. But now that suggests room for thought surely?

You are, and always have been, a tiny man with an obsession for people's attention and any shred of power you could get on this community. You've always been incredibly creepy, getting yourself banned just for an imaginary shot at being with Courtney, you've been creepy with a TON of other female members of this community and lose your shit when they start keeping away from you

I also think you're confusing "goons" with fellow community members who agreed that you were a plague on skial and wanted to see you gone for good reasons, unlike your actual "goons" who licked your feet because you stole mediocre maps and slapped a tiny change on it

God willing, one day I'll finally understand why Bot has given you countless chances for any reason other than worrying your (actual) goons would stop playing on skial and talk so much trash about it in other communities that it would actually have an impact on the population

Go touch some grass outside. This shouldn’t even be discussed as it’s been declined numerous times over the years. If you wanna say your slurs go say them elsewhere. You’re crying about not being able to say mean words in a community server of a video game. Seriously? That’s so childish and goofy. The whole reason why I am inactive on Skial and TF2 as a whole is because I got tired of the toxicity and I have better things to do. I don’t understand why you want to actively feed and encourage it with a weak argument of “if you don’t like it then block it”. This isn’t the default valve servers.

What strategy should be considered in growing the playerbase from the community’s standpoint? Whatever is in practice currently isn’t helping and a time of change is due.
 
I think automuting for using the 'soft a' version of the n word is (unintentionally) racist. Within AAVE, the word really is just a different, more complex version of "bro." Almost any time you'd say bro, the same sentence would mean essentially the same thing if 'bro' was replaced with the soft-a. But, back to the server. What happens when a player who is black joins the server, uses the soft-a in an 'earnest' way (i.e., meaning 'bro' or similar), but then he gets auto muted for 120minutes? Basically for just... talking? It's like if saying the word "bro" got you auto muted. I don't know about you, but whenever someone gets auto muted, they often just leave the server. Maybe never come back. If we're thinking of Skial's playerbase health... then automuting for saying the soft-a is potentially driving away a portion of the TF2 playerbase, which would happen to be black men.

I don't advocate saying slurs, or even the soft-a. I don't think white people should say it. Period. But that's just MY personal opinion about it. I just feel like this is a point that nobody is talking about that probably needs to be addressed if the server staff and owner are concerned about a shrinking playerbase.

Either it's allowed for all or it is not allowed for all. I don't think anyone seriously wants n word pass verification in skial

Ah, my bad. What I meant there was to clarify my literal own personal opinion. I'm saying that I don't think white people should say it. That's just me personally.

When it comes to the server, however, what I am arguing is that ANYONE can say the soft-a without the 120 min automute. Because automuting and potentially causing a black player to never come back just because he basically said 'bro'... is a WORSE alternative than simply allowing everyone to say it, and let admins handle case-by-case basis if it seems someone is using it in a truly racist manner, rather than the earnest AAVE meaning 'bro.'

Does that make sense? So, allow soft-a for EVERYONE, no automuting. More work for admins. perhaps. But on the plus side, it potentially stops driving away a chunk of the tf2 playerbase.

Edit: And, I mean specifically, the soft-a n-word. No other slurs. Just that one. Take it off automute.

Nobody likes being micromanaged. It's not even me who wants to say them, but I don't see how it's beneficial to be so harsh on others who do especially when the people in that server don't care.

It's a fact that you are emitting textbook behavior and doing exactly as I called out because I wanted it to stop so actual conversation can be had.

Don't hit me with the "Its just a joke" nonsense. You damn well meant it. I've never threatened to physically harm you, but now that borders been crossed so I'm done listening.
