hmmm thats a nice idea to stop Scam accounts and such, but ofcourse it will also suck for the FTP players

This was a really great idea. Kudos and a raise (from all the 5's spent on activating accounts) to whoever thought of it.

Valve actually paying attention and doing good things?
What year is it again?
It's just so people will report less, so the employees have less to do
This time it's actually good unlike the email confermation for every trade

Wasn't it before that F2P couldn't add people, but could accept friend requests? I remember it being like that when I first started playing TF2.

seeing how F2P users can no longer vote on Greenlight and Workshop items, I honestly wonder if anything would be affected if they made it retroactive

I'm sure it would be but that won't happen. It's probably difficult to change past votes.

Wow a year ago everyone would have lost their shit over this, but now it's not a bad way to deal with the stupid amount of scammers making auto-invite bots

Yeah I think this is the greatest benefit. And yeah if Valve did this a year ago everyone would rage but now it is really a great thing, plus anyone who actually plays games buys at least one game which means they will spend at least $5...
