Some skial servers seem to be bugged and change the hat on your head.

Tonight, I've joined Badwater US and found out that my skull hat and my holiday headcase were automatically changed to a gibus and some other random hat. Same for my pyro apparition misc, was changed to the sight for sore eyes.

It's not the first time, but as a proud hat collector, I would really like to see my loadouts work properly.

Like I said, it did happen more than once, but it might be on that server only. I recall once it happened on Turbine US+, but it got fixed quickly. On Badwater US, seems like it's frequent.

Anyone else seen this? Is it known?

i usually hop around skial,valve and the occasional lotus server and i dont see it on valve or lotus
edit: i also never see it happen anytime i scrim

I don't see how we can be responsible because Valve blocked server owners from giving players hats so people would still buy them from the mann co store.

I thought it might have been related to the /hat commands (server plugin). Other than that, seems more than logical that hats would be under Valve's control.

Seems to happen on that one server these days tho, not any server.

To clarify: it presently affects my holiday headcase on most (not all) est servers. On some, it turns into a gibus, on others, a scarf (yes, my pyro has 3 miscs at the same time).

Last time, I recall it did it with very new items (summer sale items) only.

My pyro had the modest pile of scrap on skial trade server and it was changed to the demo dreads with the headband, forget what its called. Was using /hat command at the time.
