Agreed there. My scammer doesn't think I'm serious about this at all, and sadly.. I think he'll only realize this if he doesn't give the money back. I'd rather have the money than make this kid go to jail, y'know?
Yeah I understand, and if he did go to jail, his upkeep would be paid for by the taxpayer, so an even worse result.

I'm posting this because the person who scammed the thread starter 2 years ago is still scamming. He used 2 different Paypal accounts when I talked to him.
Did anything ever come out with this whole FBI thing? Anyway, if you read this, Vinsu, I added you as a Steam friend to talk.

This thread is so fucking old 2 people on the first page have changed their names. Please just PM him next time.

I'm sorry, I'll write a pm next time.

Just kidding, of course I wouldn't. I want everyone to see this, just because he scammed two years ago, doesn't mean it's irrelevant now.

However, my attack was a success so far, to the point where he decided to talk to me and apologize. So I encourage all his victims to add me to their friend list so we can talk.

That's a god awful idea. If you're in need of help when handling a case, it shouldn't be out in the public. Talking to the OP makes sense, also an admin experienced in this field but leaving it out in the public may make the scammer weary of said situation and be more cautious when performing such actions should he find this. Not only that but this thread is almost 2 years old, I don't think the OP cares nor wants to be bothered with someone that is THIS old where he couldn't help you in any possible way.

The situation is different, though. I have the scammer in my friends list and forced him to provide all evidence I want from him. He knows about this thread and what I'm doing. I just want him to apologize to pretty much everyone who wants an apology.

I understand what you're saying, though.

He made the idiotic mistake of coming back online and talking to me. we had a very long conversation in which at one point he offered to give me $60. I righteously declined and would only accept the 100. It later evolved into me asking him to check his paypal accounts. sure enough, they have all been frozen by the FBI. I then informed him that he is charged with a Federal Crime since this actually counts as one. I asked him if it was really worth jail time.

He went offline.
