Already Done Should we limit and/or stop people from using the votemenu if they abuse it

Pretty much as the title says, if its possible to add such a function it would be nice. And of course we would need proof to lay down that type of punishment and not just dish out. What I propose is a strike system similar to bans, 3 strikes you lose it permanently. Other times you lose the ability to use it for a day or a week or a month, however an admin chooses etc etc.

Initially, skial enforces what you're thinking. As false initiating votes can cause you to get mute/gagged, after a certain amount of offenses you just get perma-muted.

The votemenu window is triggered by the command in console or /votemenu
However to actually post a vote, they have to say in chat:

/votemenu silence #[U:1:89984258]

- so just to clarify, we do already have this.

As mentioned above, we already punish for votemenu abuse.
If someone is gagged for votemenu abuse, they're unable to use the votemenu.
So we already have longer times for these people, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, etc.

That sounds like it would require changing a player's flag in the server's configuration and would be a lot more effort for the same result as silencing them. Anyone doing it enough to be permanently silenced for it deserves it anyway.
