I was just curious what you guys thought of restricting level 0's/brand new users from playing on all Skial servers.
My take of it is that the amount of throwaway cheater accounts would go down (atleast on Skial) and it would be more trustworthy users that would play. Most people won't buy something on an account that they're going cheat on.
I know this might drive away very new users, but usually finishing your profile and buying a game/doing the badges brings your level up fairly quick if you're a new user, and most of the time, new users in TF2 join casual for their first games, (Which, with the bots, probably already drives lots of them away.) It's also fairly suspicious when you're a brand new account and the only game you've played is TF2.

yes and no
yes because new players on tf2 are fucking rare and needed to keep this piece of shit game alive
no because as snitch said, most are throw away accounts for cheaters
also the backlash from other servers saying that "we accept new players instead of just banning them"
its a lose-lose scenario but the final choice lies with the fucking penguin

no
There is tons of hackers with level 0 steam accounts and creating millions alts accounts with vpn, while f2ps got banned.

Everyone started somewhere...
New to steam? first thing you're going to play is a free game.. Chances are it will be TF2.
Cheaters get ip banned, so it doesnt matter how many accounts they make.

Hackers: No new accounts? Okay.
Comes back on a hijacked level 1 account

Alternatively:
Idle multiple alts in free games that give card drops to level up once.

But most of the time, hackers on Skial are retards who probably don't have the skill or time before school starts in the morning to grind or hijack accounts, and if they did that, they're IP banned aswell, since overlooking a VPN is a common occurrence among hackers

It's a simple statement that your suggestion is highly flawed and will not work as there are easy workarounds.

I was just curious, I know this will never get implemented, kinda like how we all know FaceShit tf2 servers are going to have hackers on them too, much like GeForce now, no matter how good of a system you make or how well vetted your players are, there will always be cracks that undesirables will slip through

I'm pretty sure that free games don't drop cards

well, not including games received as a gift, as those were still paid for
