Hardly "news" but the BBC have just published this story on sexual harassment in gaming.

But seriously, a lot of people seem to get genuinely upset about what people say to/about them online. Clearly some people have never heard of client mute. Or maybe the console kiddies don't have such a thing.
Thank God Skial is such a caring, non-judgemental community, eh?

Fair enough with sexist issues in real life. But on the Internet? And a woman? Oh yeah, of course, it's not like half of the Internet goes wild and showers females in glory and attention as fast as they mention their gender - let me tell you how many times I've been sexually harrased for not having a vagina and a D-cup bra--

I'd rather play with girls than guys in most cases. I've met a bunch of super skilled girls and guys, well, it's more often than usual that guys tend to whuine and bitch about something in game because they're oh so good at it. Every girl I've met in game is all around nice.
 
Why is it that when i hear sexual harassment, and 20 year old's acting like asses, its on console?
(FYI, im not saying all 20 year old console playing guys are asses, only the ones who act like it)
Also, whenever i play with a girl, they are always so nice to everyone, and they are always skilled, except for when a bitch comes on lol
 
I always laugh when i'm on a server and a player announces they are female, 75% of the guys all start with the same old corny crap, and shit like 'OMG its a girl'.
I tell ya, if I were female, i would cream all the attention I could get.
 
The other day I played on a valve server because all the skial us payload maps were empty. I used my mic and i got this kid that would type a novel about what he would do to me, intense stuff. It was really impressive. He was a bottom scoring sniper. Good times.

Most girls who play games know exactly what they're getting into. A community of foul-mouthed males with varying degrees of self-esteem issues all trying to best one another in a typical alpha male scenario. It's those "girl gamers", you know the ones who play shit like "The Sims" or "Farmville" and decide to venture into the testosterone pits because they think they'll be worshiped and coronated for their lack of a "Y" chromosome. Then they can't handle all the unwanted male attention, both positive and negative and run off crying to the feminazis. A group of women who have never played a video game in their lives but reason that because males play video games and males are the source of all evil, therefore video gaming must be evil.
