So what would you do with admin though? what kind of people would you kick/ban/mute?
 
although this feels like an interrogation of sorts, sarcasm - this instance involved connection problems for ahd-994 but you can do a full circle investigation if you wish, time of death etc.

Could you clarify that answer a bit more? If you had connection issues with a person on skype, wouldn't it have been easier for them to youtube the song themselves? The whole concept of playing music over a microphone doesn't make ALL that much sense, but more power to you... And I realize I'm being nitpicky, but the quote " any1 want any particular song if not ill just play some random shit." I guess out of context that'd seem like you're talking to the whole server, wouldn't it... Care to explain?
 
hey, I appreciate where you're coming from, I'd happily discuss individual scenarios with you, but I can't help feeling like I'm at the bottom of a "let's jump on each other" pile.

I'll be honest now too, this whole idea has really just been put into my head, and can I tell you what has come of it, just bad feelings, that's all, I'm quite new to the forums yeah, and I understand this is my official application, but you guys do know how to make someone feel terrible.
 
This is an application... Where we figure out who you really are... I'm using what resources I have. I have no doubt you're a nice person, but thats not entirely what being an Admin is about... Everyone is going to hate you, because you have to enforce the rules... I mean, for example, if you have to deal with a party of a bunch of friendly heavies, who are all "having fun", and the rest of the server is going with them... Warning and banning, is going to make them mad at you. You have to deal with people jumping on you, and figuring out what your actions will do. Also, any past actions you have will always be scrutinized, thats one of the fun parts about putting yourself out there... The trail is always there. So, would you explain? I mean, I'd love to help figure this whole thing out.

just asking simple questions, which simple answers are expected. Skial just doesn't hand any random person who enters the forums admin. There are basic rules to follow and admins need to follow those rules, if some one applying for admin clearly doesn't know the rules or cant follow them, then why should he/she be admin.
 
You really expect to apply for admin and not have people look at your chat logs and in-game conduct?
 
Why don't we all have a skype conversation? I'd happily discuss all the things you want to, it'd be much easier and you could find out who I really am!

I disagree with this "everyone is going to hate you" stereotype, and actually I can agree with a lot of what you've said other than this :>

If you agree with a lot of what else I've said, then can you answer, and explain the context? Its a simple question, and requires a fairly simple answer... All I want is truth.
 
So, you say we're taking it out of context... Can I ask you to at least explain the use of racial slurs, and how in context thats allowed? And can you explain playing music over the microphone? You can't say its in the past, because you used a racial slur even yesterday...
 
Firstly, I've already explained the use of "racial slurs" - I address many of my peers in this way, as do a lot of us, it is said in jest, and I appreciate it isn't acceptable, for that I apologize and will refrain from using racial content in the future.

As complicated as this situation seems, it's fairly simple, a group of us were messing around with soundboards etc, with ahd's connection problems we lost use of our group call for a matter of moments; hence skial chat.

Regardless of when or where I use these terms, I do not mean them in a way to harm others, they are addressed to friends and peers, not to others, although I understand people do take personal offence and I should refrain from using such language publicly.

  • Racism and other insults to gender, religion and sexual orientation. Does not include discussion of why it is against the rules.
    • Any form of the word nigger (nigga, nigg etc.) is not allowed even if you are just quoting a rap song or you are black, to prevent actual racists from using the same excuse.
    • Rules also apply to admins.

-1, I don't really see the need for new admins anyways imho, I can legit just get Rue on the case in 30 seconds and from what I hear EU has the same deal on their end. Plus, you know, the whole disregarding the rules yesterday and all that.
 
All your opinions are valued, it means I can learn from mistakes and do better next time.
