Declined Set up a surf server

Surfing is becoming more popular on TF2 and I believe it was Skial that used to host my favorite surf server. The server hosted my favorite surf maps such as supermario, japan, and legendary, and there were almost always at least 5 other players at any given time to hang around with. I remember when the server was uPp, it lacked some of the now popular plugins like RTD, but I bet it would be super easy to add that plugin. Reintroducing some of the older maps and adding a few new ones such as air arena would attract a lot of players.

What do you say guys?

Skial used to have a surf server some time ago but it stopped filling so it was removed.

Surf servers have also been only dying out over the years. There are very few surf servers up now days that actually fill, and the ones that have been up for quite awhile that fill rather well like Azelphur's server are dying out gradually.

I've been playing on this one server for almost 3 years now and it still has as many people playing as when I first found the server. Looking back on it, Skial is the only surf server I frequented that shut down, which really surprised me because it had such fun maps
 
We had to change ips because our host went bad and this was before account based favorites. After the change the server was practically empty for an entire month.

Considering that some of the custom games Skial has already and they arnt as popular as they use too. I very highly doubt it. And considering most other surf servers are dieing too because the game mode is boring.

One person is not going to really run a server unless you want to pay for it all and not quit the first week because nobody joins, then im sure Botty would let you then.

I've been playing on it since about 2009 and I've only seen it filling up less and less. It still fills, but not nearly as much as it used to. And the only reason why that one fills so well compared to the rest is likely because it has a very strong base of regs that have been playing there for years now.

All the other surf servers I've seen have been slowly disappearing or staying largely dead.
