Are you signed into the Steam application on your computer? They changed the process recently, and now you need to have Steam running in order to add friends.

Yes, I am. I heard about the changes. I heard that many ppl have the same issue. The weirdest is that i can add some guys and others not, i have to search in steam, that has no advanced mode! :D

logged into the site? that's bigger than havin steam running. i know it seems goofy, but double check, cuz i get logged out from their site a couple times a day at random ass times, and it's not my cookies

yep you have to log into steam in the web browser then add them, then it will take effect on your steam app.
