Why should you be unbanned?:
Apparently I was banned 3 or so years ago for "giving fake rep." To be completely honest I don't even know what that means let alone why I was tagged for it. I'm just trying to get into the TF2 trading scene for the first time now and found out about this after being banned from the skial trade servers and such. I know I commented +rep on a few people that I traded with for Dota 2 items years ago after they posted the same on my profile. I just thought that was something you did after trading with someone with no issues or what have you and was reciprocating the comment. If that was something I wasn't supposed to do I was unaware at the time and still am now. What is this whole +rep thing? Why was I banned for it? I'm honestly new to all this and am getting really frustrated and confused trying to join a new community... I would greatly appreciate any assitance.

He had also posted "good trader + rep" on my account and I was just reciprocating because we had traded and I thought that was the standard practice. The profile looks like it's gone private now but it's the comment on my account by r32r23r. The old account number for Apollo links to that private account. I don't know anything about the other +reps and whatnot on that account. Who's to say he didn't just trade with a bunch of people that night? All I know is that I just traded with the guy and responded to his +rep on my profile in kind.

I'm assuming that Xel'Naga was not that careless to ban people that actually traded with him. I've not known him to do that.

Show us logs that you actually traded with him. They should be available on the Steam website.

Your assumptions are incorrect. Here is proof of my innocence.

If you try to open the user that it says I "gave fake rep" to it comes up as the r32r23r account that the guy must have changed it to. I'm telling the truth that I am and was completely oblivious to any sort of fake repping or scamming or anything. If anything the scammer probably used me. I was very oblivious to the whole trading thing back then and just assumed that reciprocating to the +rep he posted on my profile was standard practice. I had no idea any of the sort of shenanigans that guy was up to. I just met him playing Dota 2 and he offered to trade me some items I wanted.

You made the rep post on his profile on November 2nd 2012 @10:47 PM. Go into your trade history, go to that date and take screenshots of the full day proving that you traded with said user

The comment was made several days after the trade because I believe I was without

I posted a screen shot of the trade above. I forgot to reply to your post so I wasn't sure if it would notify you or not.
