How do you tell if someone is aimbotting?:On the Rust servers I personally own, I look at player reports and combat logs of the suspect. than I spectate the suspect in real-time and wait for a firefight. Once I have gathered enough evidence against that player, I commit to a ban. Its a process.
When is it ok to use god mode?:On the Rust servers I personally own, I don't play on them, so I have god mode active at all times. Sometimes I'm carrying stacks of valuable items to play in stashes in order to bait ESP cheaters. I don't want to get die to a player with these items in hand and accidentally fork over valuable items.
When is it ok to give items?:On my Rust servers, we have a strict hands off policy. We stay vanished and give no items.
Will you get mad if you lose admin for "no reason"?:Of course not. You're free to do as you please on your servers. I don't have any right to get mad.
Anything else you want to say:I'm in my 30s and I own 2 small vanilla (low pop) 3k map sized servers. I own a business in Network Security and I manage network nodes around the world. I also work from home which allows me to have a very flexible schedule.
On our Rust servers, the most we do is unstuck players, remedy glitches, test plugins, catch cheaters of all forms, review server logs, player reports, place bait stashes, etc. We don't interact with players on a personal level and we stay vanished 100% of the time.
Also, I used to play on the Skial servers years ago, but I noticed you were looking for admins when I joined today.
