(Resolved) Bind R to melee

Anyone know a console command that can bind r key to switch to melee?

I've looked over Google for something like this but can only find scripts

You could always just have melee as last weapon selected, then switch to primary. When you want to melee just press q.

The command to switch to melee is slot3.
Type in the console:
bind r slot3
Tip: slot1 slot2 slot3 slot4 work too.

Yeah,

bind [key] slot[123]

I normally do that but I've been trying out the bushwhacka + jarate thing

If you have a config you can bind the keys. Or you can just go to the menu and go to the keyboard and Change Slot 1, Slot 2 and Slot 3 to whatever keys you want. Mine are currently q, r and f

I have Q, R and F binded for primary, secondary and thirdimary (term seems legit) myself, it's so much more reliable than the mouse wheel.

You can do that in settings easily I think,

adv options> turn on fast weapon switch> use 1,2,3, etc
but only if you're lazy like me

Do you have quick switch on?(Go to option control its in the same place where you activate console) Cause mainly i have that on and just use the default primary being 1 secondary being 2 and melee being 3. A bit awkward at first but its pretty easy to get use to.
