I know there's the little side box on the left that shows the top 3 of the losing team but that just doesnt look good in my opinion

The only problem is that it goes by damage/healing done by the person, not how many points they scored in the round.

I looked into this a long time ago before adding the losing team panel plugin.

Unfortunately it is not the same scoreboard, it doesn't show points. It could be rigged to show points as one of the columns but we can't change the column names.

There are also strange bugs in the thread such as incompatibility with UMC, wrong announcer sounds, and the panel closing faster than the regular scoreboard and it is impossible to make it longer.
