I'm under the impression that Rep stands for Representative. Is this referring to the concept of Middle Man? And if so, how does one go about becoming a middle man? Thanks for any help and advice, guys. = )

rep refers to the reputation a trader has. more rep means more trustworthy
Oh okay! So it would probably be best if I posted feedback and requested feedback be posted for me. Nice. Can you offer advice on becoming a middleman? I have a paypal account and have done quite a bit of trading thus far...
You'll want to build up a decent amount of rep before doing any middleman activities. Most traders want to make sure the middleman is reliable (hence the need for a middleman in the first place), so you'll probably want to do some more trading around Skial if you're using Skial as your main source of rep. If you've got a decent SourceOP rep thread somewhere, most traders will also accept that.
In most cases, the middleman won't need PayPal for anything. Typically the way it works in PayPal trades is the seller gives the items to the middleman, and then the buyer sends the money directly to the seller. Once the seller confirms that the money was received, the middleman gives the items over to the buyer. The middleman will typically not touch the money at all, since that's just one more account that PayPal has the opportunity to freeze (which they will definitely do if they notice a lot of money coming in and going out for the same amounts, so it's not worth the risk, and you can not only damage your PayPal account, but you can ruin a trade between two other people in the process, as well).
