Declined Remove Jetpacks from Trading Servers

I only go on a specific sever when I play TF2, a Skial Minecraft Trading server (I don't know the ip-address). I am beginning to want to completely stop using Skial severs for one particular reason only.... jetpacks. With jetpacks, heavies, trolldiers, and pyros can hop up onto ledges and troll kill snipers who are in a sniper duel. They also troll all of the other players. I have seen countless players leave the server because of members like "Dildo Dave", who countlessly and shamelessly ruins sniper battles and the fun of using a Skail server. I have created this thread as a plea to Skial to disable the jetpack feature on all servers.

These trolls who use the jetpacks just to troll make people like me, who are potential donators, want to stop using Skial servers. Plain and simple. I understand how much it costs to run a website/ server like Skial's, I own 3 websites myself, and even being small websites, cost me $54.95 to run each year. With this in mind, I wouldn't mind, and was going to donate to keep you're servers running. Then I had second thoughts because of the reason I underlined in my first paragraph.

So, please remove the jetpack feature from your server Skial.

I suppose it could be made donor only or something, but there's always going to be some way for someone to annoy you. I don't see the point in removing it altogether. Also, it's a trade server.

I think if it was to be made a donor only benefit, that would be fine. I mostly see f2p's jetpack troll anyway (why do we let them on trade server's anyway?), so I doubt they're donate. I have been using Skial servers since I started playing tf2, and this, as well as maybe squeakers using the mic, are the only things that get to me. Sniper battles/ skill competitions are a big part of trade servers. Because of jetpacks, it's getting much harder to partake in these advents.
 
+1 for donor-only (or at the very least, prevent F2P accounts from having access to jetpack)

F2P's can trade away items that were traded to them, so that might be merit enough to allow them on trade servers.

It's a trade server, not a super serious MGE sniper dueling server. If you're going up onto the battlements like that, you're not safe. You don't get to pick your opponents. You can't complain when you die after throwing yourself out there. This is going to happen whether you've got jetpacks enabled on the server or not. This is a really dumb suggestion.

There's a barrier protecting the spawn/battlements that prevents grenades and stickies from going through, but rockets go through just fine. Either way, a soldier that rocket jumps up, a scout that double jumps up, a demoman with a loose cannon, or an engy that sentry jumps up to the ledge can take out those snipers just fine.

Dave, you seem to not have read my post nor remember what you were just doing an hour ago. Neither the snipers on my team nor I, except maybe one or two, were going out "there". I was staying in my spawn for the most part and you were using the jetpack to hop up on the ledge as a pyro or soldier simply to kill everyone. I never said I left spawn in my post. You're trying to make yourself look better even though you simply, even after multiple players asked you to stop, was interrupting sniper battles for no reason. People like you should not be able to use the jetpack feature. You make it less fun to play and impossible to sniper battle.

Your statement "This is going to happen whether you've got jetpacks enabled on the server or not." is bs of the highest degree. So far, when there are no jetpack user's playing, everyone seems to respect the fact when others and having a sniper battle and do not aim for them. You on the other hand purposely aim for people in sniper battles using your jetpack. Not cool.

You can't get killed if you're in your spawn. You left it to snipe. You went "out there". Why did I kill you and the rest of those snipers? Because someone was trying to snipe me. I'm not going to stand by and get killed while I'm trying to figure out who it was. I'm out there to fight, not give away free kills. Neither you nor any other sniper on that server should be entitled to free kills just because you don't want to leave the battlements.

Go find an MGE server or something. Your complaints are unwarranted.

My complaints are warranted. You are making what are called straw man arguments. Arguments what don't really have anything to do with what's being discussed. First off, spawn includes the upper deck of the spawn.... So yes, you can get killed in your own spawn. Also, I'm not saying you can't go ahead and kill the snipers who are killing you, I never said that. TF2 is a game in which you are supposed to "kill" the opposing players. What I am saying is that the jetpack should not be a feature to those playing in a trade server. Trade servers are geared towards chilling out, trading, and competing for items in sniper battles, spy crabbing matches, etc., not spawn camping for 12 hours straight like you were. By the end of your spawn camping spree, you had over 1000 points. This thread was started to discuss the misuse of jetpacks and the people who's only initiative is to kill those who are in sniper battles just to be a troll.

Your whole post is complete bs and has nothing to do with this discussion. Again, I never said I "went out there", and I never said snipers should get free kills. Complete bs. Again, people like you who misuse the jetpack and spawn camp for 12 hours straight make the Skial experience less entertaining and it makes people like me backlist Skial servers (I have not black listed any Skial, just saying. Without the jetpack, you can't just jump up as a soldier, kill snipers, and run back to spawn to replenish your health in 5 seconds. It's not fun to others when soldiers and pyros can run faster then scouts and kill everyone. That's not the point of a trade server.
 
Btw, I just noticed I completely misspelled almost every word in a whole sentence... The sentence "If you're put to fight, do to a sever that's geared more towards fighting, than chilling out, trading, and competing for items" should actually read " If all you want to do is fight, join a server that's geared more towards fighting than a trade server which is geared towards chilling out, trading, and competing for items.

I don't know how that happened....
 
First of all, the trade server is purposed for trading. Not for chilling out or doing thing without getting bothered. When you leave the spawn area, which is the area no opposing player can enter, you know you can get killed by the other team. Whether or not they use the jetpack function is irrelevant. You leave the spawn, you play the game. Kill or get killed.

However it would not be a bad idea to make the jetpack a premium feature. Also, I have no clue why F2P players are allowed on the server. Since we can get their server name tagged through SR (I think), can't we get them denied access as well? In the end we have a idle server for just jerking around, because F2P players cannot be on the trade servers for trading purposes.

Hi, please visit the server 108.61.44.22:27015 to see what I'm talking about. There's a part of spawn in this trade server when none of your opponents can enter although they can kill you in. It's mostly for sniper battles. The only way to really get up there, unless you're a scout, is using the jetpack.
 
I am a TF2 admin, I know the servers. If you don't want to get killed unless by the person you are dueling, you should use MGE servers like others supposed. Furthermore I did state that it wouldn't hurt to make the jetpack a premium feature. Don't retaliate that fast and learn to accept some criticism.
