Declined Remove/Hide Membership Ratings

I don't know about everyone else but I find the ratings I get on my Skial Membership just seem to be a pretty big social embarrassment. Just because someones suggestion or ban appeal gets declined doesn't necessarily mean they deserve a low rep and a lot of Dumb ratings on their profile for everyone to see.

It would seem more appropriate if we could at least choose to hide our ratings or have it disabled on the website, because this could lead into a lot of misjudgment.

If it was for the admins sake for membership ratings to be reviewed then i guess it would be fair for only admins to review the ratings.

We are not going to remove or modify the rating system just because you don't like the negative ratings you have received. Besides, ratings don't mean much here anyway.

It's not that, it's just that you made a bad suggestion solely because you don't like how something works, a massive change like that isn't going to take place. About a year ago the ability to see who rated you and when you got rated was removed and people flipped shit until it got reverted. So getting rid of it entirely is a bad idea.

So I should expect to get bashed on all because a lot of people disagree with my opinion? That kind of just proves my point is worth consirdering.

I wasn't just mentioning myself, there could be a lot of other members with the same issue as me.

You see? You're misjudging me all because I made a simple suggestion which you disagree with.
Just because I'm wrong or you disagree with me does not mean I'm a bad person. This is entirely what I'm trying to clarify.
 
+1 please remove ratings because they make me sad and want to cover Meow in syrup and pour fire ants on him.

If ratings were removed you would be bashed even harder. People would no longer have a simple way to agree or disagree with your post through ratings so they would be encouraged to form entire posts against you.

What "poor reputation"? Your title "Scarcely Lethal Noob" means "Oh ok, this guy is new to the forums." It doesn't mean "awwwwwwww shit, this guy has 16 negative ratings, lets all make fun of him!"

You don't have a "poor/negative reputation" i dunno where you got that from, ive never even heard of you. no one really cares about negative ratings. theyre not a huge deal.

Sorry I think I might have mistaken you.
I meant if my post were rated Dumb a lot because I was wrong, then it would show on my Membership that I was rated Dumb like 28 times which can cause some misjudgment to me (not the post)

Like I said you're making a big deal out of nothing. I have 308 negative posts. I've been here since 2012 and I've never ran across anyone who's looked at someone's negative posts and made the assumption that they must be some huge cunt.

If someone does judge based solely off negative posts then they're idiots.

I didn't mean my title, I meant my ratings. And if you're really positive about that, then I guess you're right.

15 negative ratings doesn't mean you're a bad guy. I've got 10 times that amount despite trying to make a conscious effort to be polite most of the time. Everyone gets negative ratings regardless of how they act so it's nothing to worry about.
 
Don't listen to anyone here, the second someone has more than 10 negative ratings they are a pox on the empire and should be shunned.

That being said, -1, because I have to make sure I am avoiding all the undesirables who have racked up so many negative ratings during their time here.

Let's take his point further. People like @JohnnyGaloshes eat negative ratings for breakfast, does anyone bat an eye? No.
Going on, most of your "negative" ratings were from that time you wanted to suggest giving hackers a second chance. No one disagreed with you because they didn't like the idea for it's lack of sustenance. They rated it "dumb" because it was simply put, a bad idea.
 
Already I got 21 Dumb ratings, I guess most people don't know the difference between Dumb and Disagree...
