So I've spent the last two days messing around in deathrun watching people find map exploits, well the one that really stands out is Dark Energy. That map... my god it was horribly made.
Here's a list of big issues.
1. There's no real afk kicker like a good portion of maps have (Painis, Ding Ding, Giant penis monsters, etc.) All you have to do is jump out of spawn and you could spend the entire match standing right there.
2. You can see hale. Some people might not find it bad, but I and a few others find it to be one of the most annoying things ever. YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHERE HALE IS. There's no fear, or guessing, or worrying about if Hale is watching you, or if he's after a rusher.
3. The trap button hitboxes are horrible, Rue can probably vouch for that one. Saw a match a few minutes ago where the buttons didn't even work, none of the traps would activate.
4. You can sacrifice people in one of the crusher traps to actually get the trap stuck, the bodies will clip into the trap and cause to to glitch out.
5. Some times the traps end up becoming invisible. Normally this is the barrels near the middle of the map, They don't show up on some people's screens and they think the trap was triggered.
6. There's almost always rushers who make it so Hale can't even use the first set of traps. That's something that happens on other maps, but in Dark Energy HALE CAN'T MOVE BACKWARDS!
Once you move from a trap area, you can't move back. That means if you go on ahead to deal with a single rusher, you end up getting fucked because you can't use the other traps you had to run past to get the rusher.
7. A dead ringer spy can force himself into a trap and lock it, meaning the trap won't turn off.
There's some other stuff, but that's some of the bigger issues.
Please, for the love of Hale, Remove and patch this map.
