For most of you, the !admins command is kind of nice for verifying who is a admin and who is an impersonator.

However, for some of us admins it is a pain in the ass. A lot of people use it to dodge bans or stop breaking the rules when they are around. Hell, some people do it just to say hello and break our cover. I understand this command is used for verifying admins, however there are other ways to go about it.

This problem is bigger in custom where the more prominent regulars and rulebreakers lay.

I think we could use some other form of verification, such as a colored name so that it's not visable until we speak if we decide to go in undercover.

Even though it's not that big of a hurdle, a few other admins and myself agree that it is the bane of our existence.

EDIT: Just realized this was already suggested, if you would like to decline it instantly that's fine.
Jailbreak / Custom servers suggestion.

I dont even see why people need to know who is an admin when all admins can prove it when they need to with csay or punishments.

Why waste time going undercover? If reporter didn't give enough info mark invalid and move on. no need to waste your precious admin time that's why there are perma bans so it prevents admins wasting their precious time with that person ever again. It's better to let trouble come to you rather than searching for it and if you really want to go undercover just make a fake account gather the appropriate info then bring down the ban hammer.

I think Ozzeh's idea is the best one. I'm not an admin on here but if you are trying to go undercover and trying to catch someone red handed, that would be a good command to use.

I can't speak for the other admins, but I signed up to help enforce the rules. I'm not going to let some asshole ruin everyone's fun by continually freekilling and let it slide because the reporter didn't provide evidence.

So log into a fake account to go undercover not to hard

I see this has been implemented, but it also has the side effect of removing /donators which is useful to see who donated.

I see it has been removed.
I think replacing it with a name prefix is the best route.

/admins and /donators are 2 different commands, so there should be no issue. As long as only the /admins command is modified.

Where did you read that it was implemented and removed?

I tested it myself on jailbreak with a ton of regs, it doesnt work.

I knew that people waiting for admins to leave to break rules would be a problem. But people kept asking me for an admin list so I put it in.

Now hopefully everyone now realizes there is no need for the /admins command.

Admins can prove themselves with admin commands.

A smart choice Botty, hopefully this will help out the admins on Jailbreak, as it seems to effect that game mode the most.

after seeing that command so many times today I'm agreeing with @Sroy , dump the !admin command and replace it with something new

Edit: My computer didn't load fast enough to see it was already approved, sorry for the inconvenience
