So a few months ago in a thread I had mentioned that I had been fighting Cancer for some time now. The support I received was astounding which was quite unexpected as I am still a fairly new member of the community.

I wanted to inform those who cared that after fighting cancer for quite some time, going through radiation and an 11 hour neck surgery, I received a phone call from my Doctor yesterday informing me that I am 100% Cancer free! This has been the best news I've been given in 4 years.

I am grateful for having to go through this whole ordeal as it's made me a better person, gave me a great aspect on life and has opened my eyes to how important each and everyday is. Cancer can be a very frightful thing to deal with. If you or somebody you know is dealing with Cancer or having a tough time in life please show them you care. The best medicine they can get is love and support from their loved ones.

Thank you all for your support in my time of need and I pray that none of you have to go through this but at some point in your life, there will come a time where you struggle in life. My message to you is keep your head held high and think of the positive. There will be a brighter days!

First of all, good to hear you're feeling great again. I'm Swedish so I don't know if this is an appropiate term to say in this case but; Congratulations! I'm happy for you. =)

I'd also like to reinforce this for anyone reading this. I'm going through a fairly tough time in my life as well (not as bad as cancer obviously, but still rough) and I can't stress how important this is. It can be very hard to be optimistic, but you just gotta try to think forward and take action.

So once again mate, congratulations. =)

I've lost many loved ones to cancer and reading that you are cancer free after you battle puts a big smile on my face. I can't imagine the battle you went through mentally and physically. I am so happy for you and your family!

I too have lost family members to Cancer. The Doctors told me that more and more people are getting Cancer these days because of all the processed food we eat. When I was told that I had Cancer it scared me because a week before I found out, I had a cousin who passed away of Lymphoma.

I told my Doctor, jokingly, that Cancer isn't what is killing everybody. It's the stresses of all the test, procedures and waiting for test results.
