Hey guys,
I noticed that my computer is starting to run slow.
I want to upgrade it bit by bit, but I don't know where to start.
Upgrading to Windows 7-8 would be a nice touch from fucking VISTA.
But yeah.
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
RAM: 8.2 GB
Platform: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition Service Pack 2 (build 6002), 64-bit
Video card: GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Free disk space: 622.7 GB

This will not happen immediately though, I'm starting work again next month so that's when the monayz will come.
Dankeshein

Well, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference for users like yourself if you just stuck with W7, but besides Metro and whatnot W8 does have a great performance increase.

stick with 7 unless u want a clunky interface ment for tablets, cellphones, and the xbox

I think he must get payed by Microsoft for all the pushing he does for Windows 8
And if you're going to go to slow upgrade the RAM

I would recommend you upgrade your:

CPU: to an i5 or i7
Mobo: 1155 socket, p67, z68 or z77 chipset
GPU: this a be a biggie so

For your graphics card make sure it can run the games you want to play and any upcoming games.
Can your graphics card run those games on your monitor resolution?
Can your graphics card even fit in your case?
How long is it before you can upgrade again, how "future proof" will it be.

I would also say your games should run at a minimum of 60 fps
Sites like these will show how major games run on the newest graphics cards
