Scarcely Lethal Noob
I just got a thought that well if the supply for BKs are getting so large then people will stop playing mann up soon, but then another thought occurred if valve wants to keep making money of MvM they will probably switch out the currents for new ones and make a cycle of every few months having new ones. I just wanted to know what the community thought about this. Thanks for your replies ! :D

they will never be discontinued.
valve will just make new waves and make more garbage reskins

Make botkillers of different stock weapons then
Bat
Shovel/shotgun
Fire axe/Shotgun
Grenade Launcher/bottle
Fists (Bot-head Knuckles!)/shotgun
Shotgun?
Bonesaw/Syringe Gun
Sapper

Meh, just some shitty ideas. Do likey the Botkiller Fists though.

with all the different versions of Stock weapons you'd wonder why Valve didn't have them as styles unlocked by items, or in the Botkiller case, badge milestones.
it could've been done like this:
  • standard Strange: unlocked by using items found in crates, limited to one specific type of weapon determined by the crate it was in
  • Festive style: unlocked by using items found in Naughty Winter crates. limited to a stock weapon
  • Botkiller styles: unlocked by MvM badge level milestones. lower level milestone unlocks common (ex. Rust for Operation Oil Spill) Botkiller style for stock weapons, higher level unlocks rarer style (ex. Gold for Operation Steel Trap)
and for items tied to achievements, such as hats or cross-game items (but not craftable items, like the achievement milestone weapons, Haunted Metal Scrap, and the SpaceChem items), why didn't Valve make them Stock quali-- oh wait, Backpack Expander sales. duh!

sorry, had to vent a little

I believe the reason for the milestone thing is when alot of ppl reach high level and start pumping out the BKs like they are regular weapons the supply would be too large for the demand so the price would drop and ppl would regard it just a waste of time to sell a BK when it is dirt cheap and requires more effort.

but if they were unlockable styles for the Stock weapons, it wouldn't be possible to sell them. and since more repeated effort would be required to get them, Valve would make more money on ToD ticket sales

The problem with that is them not being tradeable is the stock BKs would be classified just like a normal (yes i do mean the quality) weapon and would not be regarded as something like a festive, that is atleast my opinion. Personally i like having my gold scattergun and im sure ppl who have festives use them partly for themselves and partly to just show off that you have one.
