1. This game is the same thing everytime. Get animals, train them, beat the "gym leaders" (that don't even lift) and than beat the furious 5 champions and beat the super ultra mega champion and catch the legendary pokemon. not nostalgic?

2. COD is making remakes on what it made on the older system, xbox 360, at this rate. Almost all the pokemon games are remakes.
this just in: Gameboy slightly older than Xbox 360, leading scientists believe age might have something to do with nostalgia!

I agree. I loved red/blue silver/gold.

hated ruby and sapphire though, they were shit

diamond and pearl were pretty nice too.

then b/w and x/y were shit
X and Y could have been one of the best / the best gen if it wasnt' for the 10-20 frames per second problem...

Fire Red and Leaf Green are not new..

Ruby and Sapphire exist already, referring to this thread.

You do realize this is a gen 3 remake, just like fire red / leaf green was a gen 1 remake and heart gold / soul silver was a gen 2 remake...right?

That's a bit late of a start compared to those of us that played Pokemon from a young age.
I have been playing since the age of 4 and I just got into competitive.
You can have your opinion but dont go onto a thread about something you hate and bash it.
A lot of us love this series and will continue to keep up with it, regardless of the constant same type of gameplay because that's how we like it. :c
I'm not hating :( I just don't see why pokemone is interesting anymore. I guess it's like another game series that people like too much, like cod. There are games that I like but just don't really pay attention or understand the hype around it because to me it is just boring to see these hyper ass kids that wanna fight you, and lose, every few steps that you take... in every game.

X and Y had my favorite Game-play.
Black and White (2 as well) had my favorite story / soundtrack.
Kanto had my favorite pokemon.
Johto had my favorite map / evil do-ers.
Hoenn was my least favorite gen, but it brought me my favorite champion. (Wallace, hate me all you want.)

what i was saying is that the gameplay was nostalgic after a while. and what
It's probably on the X and Y engine

horrible framerate hype...
on the 3Ds? I really hope Nintendo steps it up and does well because it is a kids franchise and it would be a shame to all the memories and fans if Nintendo dies off. Which will most likely not happen anyways despite what IGN, Gameinformer and all those game reviewers say about nintendo.

I'm not sure if I should be disappointed that people dislike B/W the most

Or if I should be relieved I didn't miss much by not getting X/Y and suffering its frame rate issues.

Thanks for the tip, I guess. You jerks.

Best region! Much hype!

EDIT: The X/Y framerate was mostly only low when in 3d*meaning only in battles and if you like 3d* So it wasn't much of a big deal to me.

Gen 3 was by far my favorite. I am actually going to get a 3DS because of this. I was only contemplating it up until now, because I would probably only end up playing X or Y on it, but now with a Hoenn region? Sign me up B)

I feel like they're just doing the same thing over and over again. Pokemon was great(and it still is) but... I don't know, maybe they shouldn't remake the classics.

you don't already have a 3ds?

man it has like the best library ever

I know this almost definitely isn't possible, but can't we just agree that SOME people genuinely like CoD and not EVERY CoD player is a arse? There is idiots in every game (YES, TF2 EVEN HAHA), and though ghosts was incredibly awful Black Ops 2 had some genuinely fun factors in it.

(inb4 dumb ratings).

Sapphire was probably my favorite Pokemon game to date. But I'm not buying the remake. I'm not too keen on rehashed products. It's a shame whenever Nintendo makes a spin off with a slightly different take on the series, it's never quite as popular and thus they focus on what brings in the cash. I would love to see a Pokemon game that has a more inspired story and background or something similar to Pokemon Colosseum for the 3DS.

Creamed my pants when I found out with @DaivdBaekr
Sapphire<33 first Pokemon game that I played enough to discover every secret, beat every trainer and capture almost every Pokemon

I'm exited for the high quality trumpets.

Gen III in my opinion was the best gen of them all and gamewise had a perfect balance to me I guess? (Battle Frontier is the shit) I think it sort of teetered off from there, starting with Gen 4, but i mean gen 4 was okay. Anything after that though...bleech.
