Pinion Causes Lag?

Everytime after the pinion ads start playing and you can hear the ad, players start to complain about lag. Last couple of weeks when the servers did not have PINION no one seemed to complain about lag. Does PINION cause some of you to lag? If not then what is the problem

My game doesn't lag, but the ad does not close when you close the MOTD, so it plays the audio until the ad is through.

my game used to lag more when there were videos playing. but not anymore

it lags for me. about 2-3 minutes after the pinion ad comes on

Yeah, I'm not having the lag, just the annoying audio thirty seconds after I hit continue.

It only lags me when the ads don't stop when I continue past them.

Usually this doesn't happen, but every now and then after continuing past the advertisement screen it will keep playing a advertisement which lags me until it either stops or until I re-connect

At the most it should stop after 30 seconds or so.

Found a solution: go into adv options and disable HTML MOTDs under performance options.
