Well this thread is not off to a great start, so I'm going to attempt to address some of the things you all have suggested/commented.
Ping alone doesn't mean anything, you can still play with 200+ ping with no issues. What mainly causes issues is when your ping fluctuates.
Someone with a steady 180 ping will have a better experience than someone who's ping keeps jumping between 30 and 100.
Ping fluctuation is not the problem here. I have seen very few hales in my 5+ years of VSH experience that had ping fluctuation issues. When someone with 150+ ping becomes the hale, they tend to be lagging severely and the round does not last very long. It only serves as free damage for spies (and gomba scouts maybe) and wastes everyone's time with 30 second round.

As a guy who plays with 200+ ping all the time trust me it's more unfair for the person who plays with high ping considering most of our hits never register, especially the ones that definitely should.
Anyone with a constant value of high ping (<300) should not be that hard to kill and you're at nearly no disadvantage. Problems come with players whose pings fluctuate up and down.
If you are on a server and have 200+ ping, I would like to recommend that you go to a server that is closer to your region if you are able. (If the closest server to your region is the one that you have 200 ping on, then that is an issue for another thread). I do not have the right to tell you what servers you can and can't go on, but I do not want to see anyone else's experience ruined because of a lagging hale. Although its true that these hales are mostly easy to beat, it wastes everyone's time and very little fun comes out of that round.
This suggestion is meant to help players have a better experience on VSH overall, and I wouldn't mind if we raise the ping limit to 200. (But that really won't do much since I rarely see people with 200+ ping as the hale on VSH servers).
