Servers:
I'm updating this again to be more specific. I'm listing the servers I'm most active on. There are others I play on often, but these can currently be considered my "main".
HLstatsX: http://stats.skial.com/stats/hlstats.php?mode=playerinfo&player=1275084

Timezone: UTC -6 / central time.
Right now I don't really have a schedule. I'm usually on early in the morning (8am+) and on randomly most of the day. I'm always on Steam, and now always checking the forums.

Support: I just got back from a few months' break from TF2, so I don't know if anyone will be able to vouch for me anymore. Generally I keep to myself, though I don't hesitate to speak up when needed, and help when possible.

Will you get mad if you lose admin?: Nope, I'd just go back to playing as usual. I might ask for the reason as to why I was let go though.

What do you type to ban your own SteamID for 30 minutes for the reason obvious aimbot?:
Console:
Code:
sm_ban "#STEAM_0:1:34840858" 30 "obvious aimbot"
Chat:
Code:
/ban "#STEAM_0:1:34840858" 30 "obvious aimbot"

Admin Experience:

I have about 6 years of experience of administrating as the following roles: administrator, moderator, leader/co-leader, manager, enforcer and so on. I have run my own servers as well as co-run others' servers. I also have experience setting up, managing and administrating websites - I've made quite a few for clans/groups I've been in as well as friends.

I have:
  • Ran my own servers in jk2, jk3, sof2, tf2 and DayZ - from home and on a VPS.
  • Lead and co-lead a few small clans/communities in the above games.
  • Helped people setup and maintain their gameservers (installing the software, configuring, maintaining backups, creating mods, fixing exploits, crashes etc.)
  • Setup and maintained websites, with a few CMS/forum softwares (including wp, joomla, drupal, phpbb, mybb, vbulletin, xenforo, misc others)
As far as TF2 admin experience goes, I ran an MvM server when it first came out, on a debian box. First it was home based, and later I ran it on a VPS. I used sourcemod and made a few simple plugins for the server. SM scripting looks pretty easy but I don't claim to have much experience with it. An example plugin I wrote to 'ready' all clients in MvM: http://pastebin.com/xpVS1qft

Additional Information:
I'm 20 years old, from Minnesota USA, and I'm a self taught programmer (Windows..). I have some experience in C/C++, ASM, C#, vb6, vb.net, some php/html. Not a pro yet though.

Note: This isn't a programming app so don't be confused. I'm not applying for anything coding related. Putting this here to avoid confusion.

I've been playing on Skial servers since early 2012. I haven't been a part of any other tf2 communities, and I've only played on a few random servers before finding skial (none of them are worth mentioning..). I just returned from a few months break from TF2 and I just recently started using the forums as well. You can check out my introduction thread here.

I know this guy and I very well know he can run and maintain servers, both the techy side as well as taking care of the people on there.

EDIT: +1. Derp

Nothing to object here. Long connection time, clean chatlog, pretty mature, ban question is right.. Looks like all criteria was met. Event though I don't see you often on 2fort+ NY, you still have my +1.

I would like to play with you sometime though, but juding from your chat logs you seem very calm and level headed (unlike myself :l). You appear to have plenty of experience as an admin and have a vast knowledge of technology. However, if the sites/clans that you used to admin on were able to vouch that you were admin, that would be great. It would help your app a lot.

And on a side note, you're a pyro who uses the detonator instead of the flare gun :D

Which JK2/JK3 servers did you run?
JK2(1.02): tnf server, gfs clan server, calis ctf, brians cheat server, ozzehs ysal server, ozzehs ff/guns ctf
JK3(1.0.1.0): tnf server, shodans lmd, my own lmd server, and a ja+ server

edit: These servers were hosted some years ago. Both games are pretty much dead, though I believe gfs i still running with my mod, but hosted by someone else.
edit2: For hosting I used AoWC, noghost, and another company I don't recall the name of.

For jk2 and jk3, the engine source code wasn't released which made modding rather difficult. I also developed my own admin mod, security fixes and features, and an account system to track player stats after reverse engineering both games (built on q3 engine). I've used this mod in both games (with slightly different hook methods to match each engine)

I only know him a little from the forums but he seems like a nice and mature person, plus 6 years admin experience isn't something to overlook

Which JK2/JK3 servers did you run?

I happen to be one of the people he helped set a jk3 server with. Just something for me and a few friends to hang out on. That was a few years ago.
More recently he helped me with an mvm server.
EDIT: We really wanted to get an mvm server going as soon as mvm came out. A big problem we had were clients who couldn't understand english or were unable to understand what we wrote in chat and despite being ready, they couldn't understand us urging them to press the ready button. I suggested he write a plugin that forces their state to ready should such a situation arise again, and he did so within the same day. It worked perfectly. It was also useful for the occasional client that was using a machine where using the function keys were a several step process (most laptops, for instance) and they didn't know how to do it. The plugin may be simple, but it sure was useful.

Here's a link to his alliedmodder's submission. It got approved in a couple of days after he posted it.

Previous admin experience as well as programming experience are both good things to see in a new admin application you do seem mature and like a good fit for the job

+1. Very nice person, has a lot of admin experience and is very mature. Don't know anybody else more suitable for this position at this moment

I've known and played games with Dave for about 8 years now. During that time, I have gotten to know Dave quite well, and can vouch for his abilities. I have worked with him many times hosting, modding, and administrating servers. As a host he has been reliable, with little to no downtimes, and quick to respond to problems. I once had an issue with my server crashing due to a command line error; within 5 minutes of my message, he had the issue resolved. As a modder he is adept at learning new scripting/programming languages to fit the needs. We modded and patched JK2/JK3 both client and server without any SDK; we used both DLL injection, and ASM byte patching to achieve more capabilities than even the SDKs provided when they were released. As an administrator, Dave has shown that he is capable of making level-headed decisions, even under pressure. He has also shown that he is not afraid to call out even his friends and other admins on their misconduct. All-in-all I think he would be an excellent addition to your team, and you should look forward to working with him. - Brian

Clean chat logs, previous experience, seems to be a pretty level headed guy on the forums.
