Please remove the "vote to mute/ban/kick" system. It doesn't work: players just reconnect and all flags are cleared, even if all votes are successful. Instead, the rotating messages should educate people on how to mute clientside, and how to report cheaters etc. As it stands, the only result is the trolls get their jollies, and the "Change Weapon" keys of 1,2,3,4 and 5 get overriden at the worst opportunities.

Please let me know what you think.

Having never met this person ever, ^this. OR at least change the votes to 6-8 on the keyboard.... most of the regs on dustbowl hate it whenever a vote goes up that ruins a push or w/e....
 
Yes, 6-8 would be a very elegant solution. It would help if the bans actually worked though, since even the "ban for 30 minutes" is circumvented by leaving server -> rejoining server. Orange_x3 had a troll infestation tonight that was compounded by the excessive voting when what people should really have been doing is muting audio in the game's menu and not feeding the trolls.
 
This whole thing is regarding a troll, d-bag named phoenix, who was dicking around on that server at about 8:30. I would put proof on imagur, but it was down, so i lumped them into a zip file here.

That's what i do usually if it's serious. If its just a afk however i just try to get them kicked, and that annoys ppl/ doesn't pass because people are more interested in wep. switching. Then they yell at me for messing up there game, regardless of it if i give them a heads up or not. Go figure, but it should be changed to 6-8.

Whoa, you capped it all! You're a better man than me. This stuff's legit. But obviously the problems I mentioned aren't just isolated to this case: I've seen so many votes that are completely unnecessary as well. It just gives the trolls a metric of how well they are doing, as well as giving them another tool to annoy people with.

Hmm AFK kicking is the only case I can see it working, but even then there should be a cooldown on how frequently you vote or whatever, if that's even possible with the tool. People were just throwing bans at each other like crazy and with an 85% threshold nothing's going to happen because at least 15% are going to switch to pistol or whatever during that timeframe. Obviously grabbing a mod/admin is a better solution though.
