For noobs? Never, Dota 2 tourney's are really serious. Wrath, Draconie, Headful, Gator and I made a team flat-out went 1-3 in a groupstage for a tourney and we decided to call it quits.

I don't expect myself to be any better than I was in tf2 when I had this much hours played.

Your best bet for a team is to just find 4 friends around your skill level and use the new team queue. The tournaments are full of the much better players in DotA 2.
