It's very irresponsible of the community to let this shit happen. There have been very few Smash 4 custom tournaments, and there is no widespread standardization of custom moves. How is EVO going to unlock them all on every set up?![]()
YES! I fucking love to watch custom matches!
I personally think testing the waters is better than just letting it sit dormant. It's very irresponsible of the community to let this shit happen. Plus it will be delayed as shit. Have fun never being invited to evo again because custom moves + handwarmers + defensive play
You have a point with the whole unlocking shit but it's better people get used to them sooner than later. It's very irresponsible of the community to let this shit happen. I really like custom moves and nintendo put them in the game, so why not test them out?
I'm no comp watcher, just my 2 cents as a casual player.

You guys aren't wrong, but it's EVO.
EVO
It's the biggest NA fighting game tournament, not something we should take lightly.
I made a write up here
You don't understand, evo isn't the biggest smash tourney. Evo is the biggest fighting game tournament of the year. Smash already gets enough shit as a party game.Don't get me wrong, I agree it's kinda dumb of them to allow customs in the biggest Smash tourney of the year and they should have put them in smaller tourneys over time so people can get used to them and wait to allow them in large ass tourneys like Evo so people will be familiar with them. I'm just happy it's a thing now.
EDIT: Also I forgot to throw in the fact that there are going to be some banned customs, ones that are somewhat broken or overpowered. I just don't know which ones yet.
that is exactly my point. We need to look into it more.EDIT: Also I forgot to throw in the fact that there are going to be some banned customs, ones that are somewhat broken or overpowered. I just don't know which ones yet.
Smash gets shit because it's considered a party game? Hell it's better than all those other shit fighting games. You don't understand, evo isn't the biggest smash tourney. Evo is the biggest fighting game tournament of the year. Smash already gets enough shit as a party game.

And this is why I regularly question the U.S's decision to forsake its own manufacturing industry. If we just made the n3ds's and amiibo's here then this wouldn't be an issue.

I'm not really sure which aspects of labor laws and worker unions you're referring to specifically but I do know that over the past few decades the U.S. has from an economical perspective come to rely on China's manufacturing industries more and more as the years go on because they make more products in a single day and for lower costs. While this is convenient in terms of lowering production costs overall, it puts U.S. marketing at the mercy of China's workforce. This is a clear cut case of how a national economy relying too much on another country's industry can cause problems for the markets as a whole. Markets don't get the products they need to sell to stay afloat while consumers can't buy the products. Also true. But then, is it the US's fault that unions and labor laws and the like exist now?

I love the idea. It's just a super-cool gimmick.Any of you guys ever saw the "Collectible Badge Center" from Japanese E-Shop? Any thoughts? Just incase you don't know, here's a small vid.
Basically, you pay for attempts of grabbing badges or pins to add for your themes on 3DS. They are like 1,50$ for several tries (idk how many).
Want it for western release?
