Bot games are good for learning to last hit and some basic skills but besides that everything you learn will be from playing against other players. If you are new to DoTA I recommend watching Purge's videos, he reflects over what he does usually and can help you to become a better player. Also, losing is just part of the game and you shouldn't be discouraged by the extremely high skill curve. Some of Skial's top players including me, Faron, Sven, Gator, etc. have over 1000k+ hours of DoTA and we still have things to learn.

That's literally the only way you'll be able to learn how to play for realz. You can play against unfair bots all day long and all it does is teach you how to play a class fairly well. Human matches even with shitty people are far different than bot matches because the bots are super predictable.

This man speaks the complete and utter truth. Bot games are about as useful as a limp dick in a fucking contest. If you can grasp the core concepts of the game (Last hitting, courier use, shop mechanics) then you are much better off going directly to online play.
